The sales and marketing strategy development firm 2020 Companies has just announced its expansion into Canada, and has hired David Balsdon as the senior vice president of Canadian operations.
Balsdon will oversee Canadian business development functions related to launching in Canada. Additionally, he will lead the client services and delivery teams in the areas of sales, advocacy, training, merchandising, and experiential marketing.
He has more than 25 years of experience in both sales and operations and spent the first 11 years of his career in consumer packaged goods (CPG) with PepsiCo Canada. His responsibilities included national accounts and franchise bottler management. Most recently, Balsdon spearheaded sales management in the consumer electronics category, where he worked with brands such as HP. Before joining 2020 Companies in 2019, David oversaw operations and retail services for another sales and marketing company based out of Mississauga, Ontario.
“2020 will utilize our existing partnerships to rapidly expand all lines of business in support of our Canadian growth,” said Christopher B. Munday, chairman/CEO, 2020 Companies. “David has demonstrated excellence and leadership building companies from the ground up, and we are thrilled to have him lead our expansion into Canada.”
