2020 Dealerscope !MPACT Awards: Editors’ Choice Winners
Dealerscope’s annual !MPACT Awards program is designed to recognize those elite products in the consumer electronics industry that are innovative, leading sales on the show floor, and driving consumers into stores.
Instead of deciding solely amongst ourselves which products are worthy of recognition, Dealerscope puts the power in the hands of our audience. Our staff did pick a couple of “editors’ choice” awards that stand out to us. But we really want everyone in the industry—manufacturers, distributors, retailers, and even consumers—to have a say in the matter—from nominating these products to, ultimately, voting on and picking our winners.
So, without further ado, let us present you the 2020 Dealerscope !MPACT Award Editors’ Choice Winners.
Signature Kitchen Suite
48-inch Dual Fuel Pro Range
Signature Kitchen Suite’s 48-inch dual-fuel pro range resides under LG’s luxury appliance banner. There is a host of convenience and Wi-Fi control connectivity features that have been appended to this versatile premium appliance, but the real eye-opener, and a true difference that makes this a conversation-starter above and beyond its utility as a range is that it is the first professional-level appliance on the market with built-in sous vide cooking capability – tapping into burgeoning consumer interest in this style of food preparation that slow-cooks pouch-wrapped food in lower temperatures in a water bath, preserving flavors and moisture. The range has two high-heat gas burners for searing and quick stir-frying, and two lower-heat burners for making delicate sauces, and there are two induction zones that can be combined for use with a griddle, teppanyaki plate or larger cookware. The 18-inch oven on the left side combines both steam and convection cooking, while the 30-inch oven next to it features a rear-wall element for even heat distribution throughout.
V50 ThinQ 5G Smartphone
We certainly have a long way to go when it comes to 5G, but it’s not something consumers, service providers, or manufacturers should be afraid of. Despite that, the early adopters knew that they’d face criticism for 5G not being perfect, but they took the leap anyway. It’s those companies that get us excited about technology, and ultimately help push the smartphone market forward. The LG V50 ThinQ is a prime example of that. If you live in an area with 5G coverage and you can connect to the service, the speed is reportedly incredible. But there’s more to the phone than its 5G capabilities. The LG V50 ThinQ has five cameras, LG OLED Fullvision display, and runs on the newest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform. It’s sleek, light, and is almost entirely made up of screen on the front. Despite some frustration you might face with connectivity, how cool is it to say you’re among the first group of people to experience the next generation of mobile broadband!
Signature Kitchen Suite
Integrated Wine Column Refrigerator
Wine lovers everywhere will agree that there is far more to a wine refrigerator than merely keeping bottles chilled. And that’s why we are so impressed with Signature Kitchen Suite’s new 18- and 24-inch Integrated Wine Column Refrigerators. Signature’s exclusive Wine Cave technology is specifically designed to significantly reduce vibration – a primary impediment to wine preservation, which causes chemical imbalances affecting the quality, flavors, aromas and texture. The wine column refrigerators are designed for precise wine preservation, inspired by the traditional, historic old-world wine caves, located near Signature Kitchen Suite's new Experience & Design Center in Napa Valley, Calif. Wine Cave technology also minimizes temperature fluctuations, limits light exposure and locks in humidity. Add the Signature Kitchen Suite "True Sommelier” app, powered by Wine Ring, which helps wine collectors manage their personal collections, and it’s clear to see there was not a cork left unturned when this product was developed.
