3Doodler Launches the Create+ Pen and 2018 Product Line
3D printing pen maker 3Doodler has launched its latest line of products. Headlined by the Create+ pen, the 2018 line includes Home Décor and DIY Project Kits as well as several STEM-focused products that are described as both fun and educational.
The Create+ pen takes the legacy of its predecessor and upgrades it with some industry-first enhancements. Users of the Create+ pen will find the first-ever dual drive system in a 3D printer integrated into the pen, which allows for “effortless loading” and the ability to use a wider range of materials to print, including PLA, ABS, and FLEXY. Other improvements include a system that is less likely to jam, a new heating algorithm that improves performance, auto retraction that prevents the pen from “oozing,” an auto-sleep safety feature, and more distinct fast and slow settings.
“It’s time to start holding 3D printers and 3D printing products to a higher standard,” 3Doodler co-founder Maxwell Bogue said in a statement announcing the new lineup of products. “Faulty early-generation products are no longer acceptable to the community, or end users. The Create+, even more so than its predecessor was built to work effortlessly right out of the box. We want Doodlers saying ‘it just works,’ giving them more time to create as a result.”
