5 Reasons the Bluesmart Connected Luggage is the Perfect Travel Companion
If I had to pick one trend that stood out above all the rest at CES 2016 last week, I think it’d be this: 2016 saw the emergence of smart/connected everything. I saw it all—smart shoes, smart clothing, smart home equipment (of course), smart dog collars, and the list goes on.
But one “smart” product in particular took the cake, in my opinion, and that’s the product that was put on display by Bluesmart. The Silicon Valley-based startup created what it’s calling the world’s first smart, connected luggage—available through its website for $399. Launched in October 2014 on the crowdfunding platform Indiegogo, the Bluesmart Carry-on raised more than $2 million in pre-orders from more than 8,000 backers in 110 countries. All of that success—and the fact that the company was able to design and develop a truly smart, connected luggage—earned Bluesmart all kinds of honors from Fast Company and Forbes. But it took seeing the thing in person to really let it sink in just how awesome (and necessary) it is.
