6 Percent of Homes Not Ready For Transition
With the DTV transition- for the time being, anyway- less than a month away, 6.5 million homes in the U.S. are "completely unready" for the loss of analog signals. That represents just under 6 percent of households- less than in recent months, but millions of homes nonetheless.
That's according to numbers released last week by Nielsen.
“Nielsen has been preparing for the transition to digital television for more than two years,” Nielsen Vice Chair Susan Whiting said as part of the announcement last week. “Because we recognize that accurate and reliable information on consumer behavior is essential to this transition, we’ve been sharing our data with clients, government leaders and the public so they could track progress to digital readiness.”
