Where Customer Comfort is King ... and Queen
The first thing you notice when standing in the home theater room at the new 6th Avenue Electronics Store in Brick, N.J., is the smell. Not the smell of the leather recliners or the plastic casings of the large-screen LG LCD or even tthe new brown and tan wall-to-wall carpet. It’s the gentle aroma of potpourri rafting in from a hidden air freshener.
Hit the northbound lanes of the Jersey Turnpike and you’ll eventually land in the town of Union where Electronics Expo just opened its new 10,000-square-foot store on busy Route 22. What you notice about the home theater vignettes in this store is, well, kind of hard to notice.
“This store has a bit of a different design than our others,” said Leon Temiz, during the recent grand opening of the chain’s seventh store. “You’ll notice the vignettes have glass walls. They promote a more open feel to the rooms. We want to make the vignettes more comfortable for people; we don’t want them to be intimidated.”
