8 Pieces of Tech to Help You Survive the Next Blizzard
The power didn’t go out this past weekend, but that’s not something you can count on all the time in this or any type of severe weather situation. As such, you should absolutely be prepared to keep your critical electronic devices fully juiced. Even so, if you’re without power for an extended period of time, one of the first things to go will likely be your smartphone. You can take certain steps (airplane mode, turning data off) to make it last longer, but there’s really only one surefire way to keep that battery going for an extended period of time, and that’s with a battery case. My case of choice, which helped me get through CES unscathed, is the mophie Juice Pack Air. The slim profile of the case makes it less intrusive than other battery pack smartphone cases I’ve come across, and it does one heck of a job keeping the phone charged for extended periods of time, easily doubling the life of the phone—at a minimum.
