Current Sidekick Sales Halted
A day after Microsoft announced it was pulling the plug on its Kin phones, carrier T-Mobile said Thursday that it will discontinue sales of the two Sidekick phones currently on the market, the Sidekick LX and Sidekick 2008, Phonescoop.com reported.
The Sidekick was manufactured by Danger, which was purchased by Microsoft in 2008.
In an email to the Phonescoop site, T-Mobile said that the phones are being pulled "to further innovate and raise the bar for the next iteration of the T-Mobile Sidekick." T-Mobile will continue to provide product service and support for Sidekick devices.
