Two Indicted in Best Buy Fraud
A husband and wife in suburban Chicago have been indicted on charges that they defrauded Best Buy to the tune of $40 million. According to the Chicago Tribune, Russell and Abby Cole were charged with 21 counts of mail fraud, wire fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering.
The couple had run a company called the Chip Factory, which stole money from Best Buy by rigging online supply auctions. A former Best Buy employee pled guilty earlier this year to his part in the scheme.
The Coles' attorney told the paper that the couple will fight the charges.
