A Look Ahead at Amazon Prime Day 2019
Amazon today announced that its fifth annual shopping holiday, Amazon Prime Day 2019, will kick off on Monday, July 15 at 12 a.m. PT (3 a.m. ET) and come to a close on Tuesday, July 16 at 11:59 p.m. PT (2:59 a.m. ET), for a total of 48 hours. The now two-day event is the longest one yet (which seems to be the case every year), exceeding last year’s total by 12 hours. This also doesn’t account for Amazon’s Early Access deals that have already been popping up ahead of the July 15 start date.
Currently headlining the list of discounted items is the Toshiba 43-inch Fire TV Edition Smart TV, down $120 from its regular $300 price tag. Also topping the list is Amazon’s very own myQ Smart Garage Door Opener + Amazon Cloud Cam at “the lowest price ever” of $99.98 (Reg. $190). Amazon will also be launching a few exclusive products for a limited time to its 100 million-plus Prime members during the shopping event. In addition to a few headphones and accessories, the TP-Link Deco Whole Home Mesh WiFi System is a big tech item to keep on your radar. There’s also plenty of “jaw-dropping prices on top tier brands” to come but you’ll have to check back periodically over the 48-hour shopping period.
As per usual, Amazon Prime Day is reserved for Prime members only. You also must reside in a participating country of US, UK, Spain, Singapore, Netherlands, Mexico, Luxembourg, Japan, Italy, India, Germany, France, China, Canada, Belgium, Austria, Australia, or United Arab Emirates. Amazon also revealed that Prime subscribers will be awarded with Free One-Day Delivery in the US with no minimum purchase on more than 10 million products. In continuing with its initiative to combine packages where possible, Amazon is providing members with the option of bundling Prime Day purchases into an Amazon Day of their choosing.
