Droid Ad Attacks "Pretty" iPhone
Verizon Wireless, continuing its smartphone war with Apple's iPhone, released another ad this week, negatively comparing the "pretty," "princess"-like iPhone to its own Droid phone.
The 30-second spot asks "should a phone be pretty?," and likens the iPhone to a "tiara-wearing, digitally-clueless beauty pageant queen" and "a precious porcelain figurine of a phone." As images flash past, the Droid is described as "fast- racehorse duct-taped to a Scud missile fast," a device that "rips through the Web like a circular saw through a ripe banana."
