IFA Press Conference Focuses on Global Sales and an Energy Efficient Future
A press conference was held last week to promote and provide a sneak peak of the annual IFA consumer electronics show, which will be held Sept. 4-9 at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds in Berlin, Germany. Approximately 300 journalists from 45 countries gathered to hear international experts discuss trends, economics, and the politics effecting the sale, manufacturing and distribution of consumer electronics and appliances.
Major consumer electronics and home appliance brands like Samsung, Sony, Philips, Panasonic, Sharp, Miele, Siemens, Bosch and many others are returning once again to this year's IFA Berlin show.
A good economic sign is that Pioneer is returning this year, after an absence last year. Despite the economic crisis leading major technology companies worldwide to consolidate and refocus their brand positioning and product offerings, the organizers of the IFA (Internationale Funkausstellung) show shared an agressive expectation with hall space for the show being close to 99 percent rented out relative to this time last year.
