Asked about the similarity of some of Onkyo's new products to recently introduced product from other manufacturers, Batista admitted Onkyo was leveraging key partnerships with other manufacturers.
"We're trying to establish our position as a home theater supplier of both receivers and source units. It's critical to come to market with products that are competitively priced and have the feature packages to meet the competition.
"If we were to do this from the ground up, it would cost us a whole lot of money."
