Abram, Going From Sony to Sonos, is Appointed President and COO
The multi-room music system developer Sonos announced Monday that they have hired Phil Abram, a former executive with Sony’s television products division, as its new president and COO.
“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to lead this team as we embark on a mission to make Sonos a household name for music lovers worldwide,” Abram said in a company statement.
Abram, moving into a position that did not previously exist, will supervise the further expansion of Sonos’ digital music home system business. A former employee of both Sharp and Kodak as well as Sony, Abram will report to CEO John MacFarlane and work in the company’s Santa Barbara, Calif. offices.
