Acer Drops Tablet Price to $399
CHICAGO- Acer is dropping the price of one of its tablet devices to $399, an Acer executive said Thursday at the New Age Electronics Dealer Summit in Chicago.
The 16GB, Android 3.0 Acer Iconia tablet previously retailed for $449.99. The 32GB version will get a price cut as well, with both going into effect July 17, company executives said.
Gregg Pendergast, Acer's vice president of commercial sales and marketing, announced the drop while sitting on a panel with executives from HP, Microsoft, Motorola and other companies with a hand in the growing tablet market.
