Adobe Technology Coming to Windows Mobile
Microsoft and Adobe announced Monday that they have reached a deal to make Adobe’s Flash and PDF applications compatible with Microsoft’s Windows Mobile platform, the Associated Press reported.
The deal entails Microsoft agreeing to license both Adobe Flash Lite and Adobe Reader LE, which will allow Windows Mobile users to both view Flash-based video and PDF documents. The move will put Adobe products on the phones alongside Silverlight, Microsoft’s in-house development platform.
The move is also expected to make it easier for advertisers to deliver content to mobile users.
