Final DTV Transition Is Friday
After years of preparations, billions in government resources and one last-minute delay, the long-awaited analog signal shutoff in the U.S. will finally take place this Friday, June 12.
With just a week left to go, President Obama last week issued a statement warning customers who are not prepared that this is their last chance.
"I want to be clear: there will not be another delay. I urge everyone who is not yet prepared to act today, so you don't lose important news and emergency information on June 12," the president said. "And I encourage all Americans who are prepared, to talk to their friends, family, and neighbors to make sure they get ready before it's too late."
