AI, Voice Recognition, Startups Spotlighted at Autumn Hong Kong Electronics Fair
The 39th Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition) and the 23rd electronicAsia, being held concurrently at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center Oct. 13-16, are expected to draw more than 4,300 international exhibitors showcasing a wide variety of intelligent products, innovative startup ideas and electronic components. Last autumn, the twin fairs attracted close to 87,000 buyers from 139 countries and regions. Organizer for the Fair is the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), while electronicAsia is jointly organized by the HKTDC and MMI Asia Pte Ltd.
Tech Hall, one of the highlights of the Electronics Fair, will return to showcase products in six thematic Zones: 3D Printing, Robotics & Unmanned Tech, Smart Tech, Virtual Reality, Startups, and the newly launched AI & Voice Recognition Applications. The Startup Zone will feature international startups to present their innovations in categories including and ranging from smart home products, wearable electronics, apps, Internet of Things (IoT), health and wellness electronics, and more. A series of events, in addition to “Startup, Smart Launch” sharing areas, is being arranged to provide a platform and a showcase for startups to present ideas, including pitching, mentoring and investment matchmaking sessions.
The Hall of Fame area, a popular feature at every Fair, will present products from more than 560 internationally renowned brand names. Other themed Zones will include i-World, Wearable Electronics, Healthcare Electronics, Audio Visual Products, Personal Electronics and more.
During the twin fairs, there will be a series of seminars and a forum for exhibitors and buyers where the latest trends and developments of the electronics industry will be highlighted. On Oct. 14, the Symposium on Innovation & Technology will be held with the theme “Intelligent Connectivity,” featuring international speakers from the enterprise area as well as renowned brands whose spokespersons will share their insights on 5G, AI, IoT, immersive content, digital wellness, smart home and more.
Held concurrently with the Electronics Fair will be electronicAsia – a platform for suppliers of electronic components and production technologies to showcase their products for international buyers. Featured zones include Power Supplies, which will present various types of batteries, accessories, solar photovoltaic components and technologies. The Printed Circuit Board & EMS Zone will display printed circuit board and related services including design, manufacture, testing and more. The World of Display Technology Zone will house exhibitors of visualization technologies. Others categories covered include Electronic Components and Keyboards & Switches. To cater to the latest sourcing trends, the Fair will also showcase the essential elements of automation, including a range of sensors and technologies.
