The Almo Corporation, a major national distributor of appliances and consumer of professional electronics, said it will expand its annual Small Business Saturday promotion after a very successful 2014. Launched in 2010, Small Business Saturday is a day dedicated to supporting small businesses around the country, and falls annually the day after Black Friday—the unofficial start to the holiday shopping season.
For Almo, this will mark the third consecutive year that the company has participated in the day, and after last year’s success, they’re looking to expand the program. Almo has already secured in excess of $100,000 for major appliance manufacturer partners including Samsung, Frigidaire, LG, Sharp, and Haier, in order to help offset deliver and installation expenses on qualifying purchases made on Small Business Saturday.
The company said that it works with a select group of their “most supportive bundle of brand major appliance dealers” that meet certain criteria to participate in the day to offer exclusive promotions in their markets.
