Altec Lansing’s ‘Everything-proof’ Speakers, True Wireless Buds

Altec Lansing showed its true wireless True EVO earbuds ($99.99), along with a selection of its ‘everything-proof’ lineup of speakers at the recent Pepcom event.

The IPX6 water-resistant-rated buds feature four hours of play time on a single charge via their Qi wireless carrying case – which is rechargeable itself when dropped on a compatible Qi wireless pad - and a choice of two types of eartips (foam and silicone). Their “Just Ask” tech feature directly connects to Siri and Google Assistant with a voice command.

In speakers, the company showed the VersA ($129) and VersA 2 Go ($69) Alexa-compatible speakers; each features a carabiner clip for convenient portability, and each is IP67-rated to be snow- and water-proof and to provide listeners with eight hours of battery life on a single charge.

A new series dubbed Live by Altec Lansing is Google Assistant-compatible; the two models are the Live ($99) and the Live 2 Go ($149), the latter larger model provides six hours of battery life, is IP67-rated and has a handle for carrying ease. Both feature Far Field Voice Recognition.
