Amazon Launches a “Shark Tank” Retail Site
There’s perhaps no more-famed failed “Shark Tank” product pitch than the one inventor Jamie Siminoff delivered to the sharks back in 2013, when he introduced them to his video doorbell startup. Since being rejected by all five investors, Siminoff has only seen his company, Ring, turn into one of the leaders in front door security, which ultimately resulted in a $1 billion offer from Amazon to buy the company earlier this year—which Siminoff accepted.
Now, though, Amazon is looking for a new way to help prop up product featured on the popular television series.
Today, Amazon announced the launch of the Shark Tank Collection, a web-based retail store featured in the Amazon Launchpad that will feature “some of your favorite Shark Tank supported products.” The collaboration with the show launches with a number of products, including Hatch Baby, Third Wave Water, and Stasher, among several others, and coincides with the premiere of season 10 of “Shark Tank.”
