Amazon Sales Up 39 Percent; Kindle Remains Strong
Amazon posted a 39 percent increase in sales in the most recent quarter, with worldwide electronics sales jumping 68 percent to $3.97 billion, the company announced Thursday.
The online retail giant's net income jumped 16 percent to $231 million.
Amazon said, once again, that the newest Kindle device is the fastest-selling Kindle of all time as well as the top product on Amazon's American and British sites. The company did not release sales figures, however.
