Amazon Tablet Reportedly Gets Name, November Release
Amazon's press conference, at which it is expected to unveil a new tablet computer, is scheduled for Wednesday, and a report Tuesday has the name and release date of the new device.
According to TechCrunch, the tablet will be called the Kindle Fire, and will exist as a separate product from the continuing line of Kindle Ereaders. The report also placed the device's launch in November. It will be seven inches and manufactured by Quanta.
Amazon Tuesday also reached several deals with magazine publishers to make their content available on the new device, according to multiple media reports.
