Amazon Tops E-Commerce Rankings
Amazon.com topped rankings of the most-trusted e-commerce companies, placing highest of more than 200 companies in 40 different industries. The survey, called the American Customer Satisfaction Index E-Commerce Report, was released jointly by the University of Michigan’s ACSI and its partner, ForeSee Results.
Amazon finished first among e-commerce companies with a score of 88 (out of 100), with Newegg Inc. coming in with 87, and Barnes and Noble and Publix Supermarkets posting scores of 83. Other prominent CE names include Best Buy (74), Circuit City (71), Staples (77), Wal*Mart (68), Target (77), and Netflix (84).
In addition, the e-commerce business itself reached a satisfaction mark of 81.6 percent, a new record.
