Amazon Plans TV Rental Move of Its Own
On the day Apple announced a new offer of 99-cent TV show rentals through the new Apple TV, word came that Amazon is working on a Web-based TV distribution model.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Amazon has approached the media conglomerates that own NBC, CBS and Fox in order to create a subscription model. Amazon would offer rentals of TV shows shortly after they air.
Amazon is also said to working on a way to stream content directly to TVs.
