Apple to Address "Exploding iPhones" in Europe
An Apple executive plans to meet with a French government official this week to discuss recent reports of "exploding iPhones" in Europe. According to Reuters, the meeting between France's consumer affairs minister and Apple's commercial director in France will take place Friday.
Multiple incidents have been reported, in France and other European countries, of the popular devices spontaneously shattering, usually offering a hissing noise. The European union had announced a probe into the phenomenon earlier this month.
There have been no such reports of the devices blowing up anywhere in the U.S.
