Android Maintains Subscriber Lead
Google's Android operating system continued its lead in domestic smartphone subscriber market share in the three months ending in December, according to numbers released by Comscore on Friday.
According to the survey, 47.3 percent of subscribers as of December used Android devices, compared to 29.6 percent for Apple and 16 percent for RIM's BlackBerry. The numbers went 44.8/27.4/18.9 when the survey was taken in September.
Samsung remained the top manufacturer, followed by LG and Motorola.
