Android, Samsung Still Rule in Phone Share
ComScore's quarterly report of smartphone market share once again saw Android widening its lead in the mobile OS race, with Google's operating system leading the pack with 46.9 percent of subscribers.
Apple was second with 28.7 percent and Research in Motion a distant third 16.6 percent. The numbers were 43.8/27.3/19.7 at the time of the last survey in August.
On the OEM side, Samsung kept the top spot with 25.6 percent of the total mobile phone market, beating out LG (20.5), Motorola (13.7) and Apple (11.2.)
