Anker Donates 1.8 Million Masks Globally to COVID-19 Frontline Responders
Mobile charging and CE accessories brand Anker Innovations says it has shipped over 1.8 million masks to the U.S., Europe, China and other world regions – including one million FDA-certified masks to healthcare workers in Washington State, with coordination support from Amazon Business. The company’s U.S. headquarters are in Bellevue, Wash.
Another 400,000 went to California, New Jersey and New York, and Anker offices in Japan, the UAE, China and Europe also facilitated donations of over 400,000 masks and other medical equipment to local healthcare providers.
“We are at a crucial moment in our struggle against this pandemic, and to win this fight, we need other tech and consumer electronics companies to get involved and help source and donate essential safety equipment,” said Steven Yang, CEO Anker Innovations, in the announcement statement.
“I’m grateful that Anker is helping to create space for other companies to see where they can make a difference. I continue to ask our community, region and state to do all they can to ensure the protection of those who protect us,” said Seattle Mayor Jenny A. Durkan, whose laudatory comments were among several from officials in those regions who are being helped by Anker’s efforts.
Anker will be providing updates on its donation efforts through its Facebook page @Anker.fans.
