Apple/Best Buy Cooperation Continues
Apple and Best Buy are close to their goal of setting up “boutiques” for Apple products in 600 Best Buy stores, and may soon expand the program even more, to the point where the Apple sections appear in virtually all of Best Buy’s U.S. locations. That’s according to the Web site AppleInsider.com, which sources familiar with the program.
There are now Apple sections in 500 of Best Buy’s U.S. stores, compared with 200 a year ago; the company cited a goal of 600 last January. However, the report said, Best Buy may run into space concerns once they expand the program further.
