Apple came in first among smart phone manufacturers in J.D. Power and Associates 2009 Wireless Consumer Smartphone Customer Satisfaction Study, while LG was the leading competitor among traditional smart phone users.
Phones were ranked in such categories as physical design, ease of operation, battery, feature and operating system. On the smart phone side, Apple scored a perfect five out of five in every category but battery to earn a score of 791 out of 1,000. LG and Samsung came in second and third.
On the traditional side, LG came in first with 733 points, beating out second-place Sony Ericsson.
