Apple Roundup: iPod Grumbling; Apple TV Delayed
Some customers are grumbling that Apple’s new movie rentals service is not compatible with older editions of the iPod. According to Wired, customers have noticed that only iPods released last September or later- the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPod Classic, and the new-generation Nano- will play the downloaded videos. Even older iPods that are video-compatibile will not run the downloaded content.
This fact, which was not disclosed when the service was announced at Macworld, has led some customers to demand either upgrades or rebates.
Meanwhile, Apple announced this week that there will be a slight delay in the release of the new version of Apple TV, in order to put the finishing touches on the product. According to AppleInsider.com, the delay only be “a week or two.”
