Report: iPhone to Verizon in January
Bloomberg News reported Tuesday that Apple will end its exclusivity with AT&T and begin offering a CDMA iPhone on Verizon Wireless in January. Bloomberg cited "two people familiar with the plans."
Apple and Verizon spokespeople did not comment when contacted by Bloomberg.
Rumors of an Apple jump to Verizon have been around nearly as long as the iPhone itself. But the iPhone 4 was announced earlier this month without a Verizon tie-in, and a Verizon spokesman said at the time that the company was focusing on its lineup of Android phones.
