Apple Unveils New iPods, Social Network, Apple TV
At its annual music event in San Francisco Wednesday, Apple introduced a much-changed line of iPod devices, as well as a retooled version of Apple TV and a new music-based social network.
CEO Steve Jobs introduced the products, as the keynote was streamed online- to Apple devices only- for the first time ever.
In what Jobs called its "biggest change in lineup ever," every model of the iPod got a makeover. The iPod Touch is now thinner, and includes such iPhone 4 features as Facetime, retina display, the gyroscope and a rear camera. The Touch devices will be available next week, with 8GB, 32GB and 64GB versions selling for $229, $299 and $399, respectively.
