Apple, Nike Expand Partnership
Apple and Nike on Tuesday announced an expansion of their partnership, meant to encourage iPod usage among exercisers.
According to ApplieInsider.com, the two companies have reached agreements with several gym equipment manufacturers, including Life Fitness, Star Trac and Precor, to make their machines compatible with the “Nike + iPod” program. With the program, users will be able to record their progress by plugging their device into the machines.
In addition, a pair of health clubs- 24 Hour Fitness in the U.S. and Virgin Active Health Clubs in other countries- have signed on as partners.
