Huge Earnings For Apple Again
The day after Steve Jobs went out on another medical leave of absence, Apple posted another huge quarter, breaking records once again for both revenue and profit.
The company posted a first fiscal quarter profit of $6 billion, up from $3.38 billion the same period last year, on revenue of $26.74 billion. The numbers were buoyed by sales 7.33 million iPads, 16.24 million iPhones and 4.13 million Mac computers.
The numbers are for the three months that ended Dec. 25.
