Apple Pushes Back on Supply Chain Story
Apple has begun pushing back aggressively against last week's New York Times feature about the company's manufacturing practices.
CEO Tim Cook wrote a letter to employees, obtained by 9to5Mac, in which he defended the company's values. He also touted what he called an increase in inspections and safety standards.
"We care about every worker in our worldwide supply chain. Any accident is deeply troubling, and any issue with working conditions is cause for concern. Any suggestion that we don’t care is patently false and offensive to us," Cook wrote. "As you know better than anyone, accusations like these are contrary to our values. It’s not who we are."
