Apple Retail Chief Leaving For J.C. Penney
The head of Apple's retail division, Ron Johnson, is leaving the company to become CEO of J.C. Penney.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the move was spurred by activist investors on the J.C. Penney side. Johnson will take over as CEO in January with Myron "Mike" Ullman becoming executive chairman.
Johnson had led Apple's retail stores since prior to their launch in 2001.
