Apple said Monday that it sold over 1 million iPhone 3GS devices in the first weekend the device was available. But perhaps the biggest news made from the company's announcement was a few words from CEO Steve Jobs.
Jobs, who is scheduled to return at the end of this month from his medical leave, was quoted in the company's press release as stating that "Customers are voting and the iPhone is winning." He added that "with over 50,000 applications available from Apple's revolutionary App Store, iPhone momentum is stronger than ever."
The company also said that six million customers downloaded the latest iPhone software since it was released in the middle of last week.
