Apple Set to Release Results
As Apple reals from the temporary departure of CEO Steve Jobs, the company is preparing to release first quarter results Wednesday.
According to the Associated Press, the numbers will be released after the closing bell on Wednesday. Analysts expect a healthy profit and revenue just under $10 billion, according to analysts surveyed by Thomson Reuters.
Also Wednesday, Bloomberg News reported that the Securities and Exchange Commission is looking into whether Apple misled investors in regards to Jobs' health. The investigation is very preliminary, the SEC source told Bloomberg, and its existence does not mean the government believes there was any wrongdoing.
