450,000 iPads Were Sold in First Week
Apple sold 450,000 units of the iPad in its first five days, CEO Steve Jobs said Thursday. The remarks came during Jobs' introduction of the iPhone 4.0 software.
On April 3, its first day on sale, the iPad moved 300,000 units, although that figure included pre-orders from the previous month, as well as units shipped to Best Buy but not yet purchased.
The 3G-enabled version of the iPad is set to arrive in late April.
