Apple Spent $560K on Lobbyists; Jobs to Speak
Apple spent $560,000 on lobbyists in the first quarter of the year, according to disclosure forms obtained by the AP. The figure is more than $200,000 greater than the same period in 2009.
The company lobbied the government on education, broadband, the environment, tax policy, patent reform, technology education and more, in addition to the Senate and House budget resolutions.
Apple also confirmed Monday that Steve Jobs will deliver the keynote address at the company's annual Worldwide Developer's Conference in San Francisco in June. Jobs will speak June 7, the event's opening day.
