Apple Unveils New Macs
Apple, a day after reporting the largest quarterly profit in company history and selling Mac and iPhone sales records, on Tuesday introduced a new line of Mac computers, ahead of the holidays. The products include a new MacBook, iMacs and Mac Minis, as well as a new multitouch mouse and a remote.
The new MacBook, which imports many features more common to MacBook Pros, sports a 13-inch LED-backlit display and multi-touch trackpad, and also includes runs the new Snow Leopard software. The new MacBook costs $999.
Apple also unveiled a pair of new iMacs, coming in 21.5 and 27-inch denominations. Coming with both a wireless keyboard and the new "Magic Mouse," the iMacs also come with Snow Leopard. The two computers will cost $1,199 and $1,499, respectively.
