Apple Unveils iOS 6, Macbook Pro and More
Apple, as expected, made several major announcements on the first day of its annual World Wide Developers' Conference in San Francisco.
On the hardware side, the company unveiled its new Macbook Pro, a 15.4" model that is the first Mac computer to feature Apple's Retina Display. A new line of Macbook Air models was unveiled as well. The new computers also features Intel's new Ivy Bridge processors.
As for software, Apple debuted the new iOS 6 mobile operating system, which boasts more than 200 new features. These include Facebook integration, as well as closer relationships with Yelp, OpenTable and Rotten Tomatoes. Siri has also been enhanced, including car integration. An updated version of Mac OS X was shown as well.
