Apple WWDC Will Have a Strong Focus on Wellness
We are just days out from the 2018 Apple Worldwide Developers Conference, which means we will get a host of new goodies that, while not directly aimed at stirring consumer interest, will give us a glimpse into the annual fall keynote.
Last year we were greeted with a slew of apps, High Sierra, and of course, the HomePod. Building even more context, we were knee-deep in premium smart speakers thanks to Amazon and Google, making the HomePod the most exciting announcement. That shouldn't discredit the developments to the watch, mac, and iPhone, but HomePod stole the show.
But this year, it appears that Apple is doing something a bit different with a focus on digital wellness - a term 'coined' by Google at their I/O conference this year. Again, nothing particularly new, but it's interesting to see so many companies interested in, well, using your products less. A typical WWDC leaves fans satiating for new updates, faster hardware, and sleeker design.
