Bryston displayed an updated SST amplifier series dubbed SST2. Enhancements to the original series that appear variously throughout include a new power transformer and chassis design, Soft-Start Circuit technology and improvements in the bridging mode performance.
Paradigm has set a May delivery date for its iPhone-compatible tabletop radio, dubbed the Edge Compact Entertainment System, said marketing manager Mark Aling. The company showed a prototype of the system, and is targeting a $499 price-point.
And JVC unwrapped its first 3.1-channel audio sound bar system product (TH-SB100), consisting of a speaker array, wireless subwoofer and a built-in BD-Live Blu-ray player (May; $699). Also new was the UX-GN6 button-free 120-watt tabletop audio system ($199) that can integrate iPods, and whose sensor “wakes up” the system when a hand is waved in front of it.
