iPad Catches On With Small Businesses
Apple's iPad has caught on in a big way with small businesses since its release early this year, with around 20 percent of U.S. small businesses purchasing them. That's according to numbers released this week by Techaisle.
The survey, which defined small businesses as those with between one and 99 employees, found that 2 million such companies have purchased iPads already.
"Small businesses while willing to adopt new forms of computing are not likely to be so aggressive as to create a tidal wave of change, however, the signs are encouraging, and now it is up to the app makers and ISVs to take advantage of this new hardware in compelling ways," Abhijeet Rane of Techaisle said as part of the announcement.
