Report: Apple Tablet Will Feature a World of Content
Apple's new tablet device, which the company will unveil next week, is going to feature access to content across all sorts of media, a source told the Wall Street Journal Wednesday.
According to the Journal's report, "people familiar with the situation" say Apple plans to "reshape" access to such media as books, textbooks and TV the way the iPod did with music. Apple is exploring this through negotiations with a variety of content providers, from publishing companies like the New York Times and Conde Nast to TV networks like CBS and ABC to gaming giant Electronic Arts.
The Journal did not report that any of these content deals are necessarily final.
