Strength Seen in Apple Stores
Apple's retail stores may very well halt their recent revenue slide and rebound into positive growth this year, an analyst predicted this week.
According to AppleInsider.com, an analysis published by the investment firm Needham and Co. noted that switchers from Windows to the Mac platform have caused the Apple Store's audience to grow. Needham predicted that the new customers will lead Apple's stores to an improvement from the most recent quarter's 14 percent decline in sales.
Needham added that the Apple Stores could become the "fourth leg of the stool," expanding on a metaphor used by Steve Jobs in which he referred to the iPod, iPhone and Mac as the company's "three legs."
