At 2019 CES Unveiled: Hive’s Connected Care
Centrica Hive, which had earlier introduced a line of smart home products including camera, thermostat, smart bulbs and smart plugs geared toward person and pet motion detection and monitoring, used the occasion of CES Unveiled, the product showcase which precedes the opening of the yearly Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, to bring out a line of connected care products it is calling HiveLink. It is a smart system that tracks, monitors and learns the routines of loved ones’ daily life patterns and, once that is done, will alert family members or others responsible for their care of aberrations to those patterns.
Patterns are trackable on any smartphone or tablet. The system consists of three smart plugs, three motion sensors and two contact sensors. It is slated to launch in the U.S. in mid-year, said company spokesperson John Gutch.
